About Me
My name is Tim Szkobcov, and I work exclusively with orthodontics, retention and the management of bite and jaw function
I am an authorised dentist with over 20 years of international clinical experience and around 10 years of experience in orthodontics. I am undertaking specialist training in orthodontics and now work mainly with fixed appliances.
Orthodontic experience
I have extensive experience with both fixed orthodontic treatment and clear aligners.
I have treated more than 500 patients with Invisalign and was an Invisalign Diamond Provider in 2021 and 2022. I have also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clear Aligners at The City of London Dental School.
This experience allows me to assess which treatment method is most appropriate for each individual patient rather than recommending the same solution to everyone.
Treatments
My clinical work includes:
fixed orthodontic treatment with metal, ceramic and champagne-coloured brackets
clear aligners in selected cases
retainers and relapse after previous orthodontic treatment
temporary anchorage devices and skeletal anchorage
MARPE and expansion of the upper jaw in adults
bite splints, bruxism and jaw-joint-related symptoms
functional appliances in selected cases
orthodontic treatment before restorative or surgical treatment
multidisciplinary treatment in cooperation with other dental specialties
Treatment philosophy
I place particular importance on careful diagnosis, individual treatment planning and clear communication.
The aim is not only to straighten the teeth, but to create a stable bite and a result that suits the patient’s face, function and long-term needs.
I recommend treatment when the expected benefit reasonably justifies the treatment time, burden, cost and risk.

Professional development
I regularly undertake further education in fixed orthodontics, digital treatment planning, clear aligners, temporary anchorage devices, MARPE and modern orthodontic diagnostics.
My previous experience in prosthodontics, implant dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics and periodontics is also valuable in more complex cases.
